The Problem: Legacy Messaging is Broken
Current messaging platforms — despite being polished and widely used — have fundamental flaws:
Lack of true privacy: End-to-end encryption is often server-mediated and prone to metadata leakage.
Centralized identity: Usernames and accounts are controlled by centralized entities.
Data control & censorship: Platforms can delete content or suspend users without recourse.
No native payments: Transferring value requires switching to another platform or using separate apps.
Fragmented UX: Messaging and payments remain disconnected in user experience.
